Happy March, everyone!  It’s been a little while, but there are a lot of things cooking this month and into the future for Jeff Brown…

Tonight starts a month filled with shows and showcases — I’m delighted to be a part of the CAUDog Records showcase at the Underground WonderBar’s Roots Room at 8pm, alongside a whole bunch of friends and label-mates.  But that’s just the beginning!

Next Monday and Tuesday, I’m helping to debut a musical that I’ve been providing the music and music direction for.  Yes, that’s right…  a musical.  It’s called Tenure Track, and is written by a college friend and her writing partner.  We’re having a staged reading with live music (provided by Jeff Brown & the New Black) at the Apollo Theater studio (right downstairs from where Million Dollar Quartet plays).  Tickets are going fast for both nights.

But wait, I’ve saved some of the best for last!

We’re headlining the Metro Chicago on Friday, June 5th!  I have been waiting for this day for a very long time.  Last March, we played there for the first time, and it was an incredible experience, but now, we get to run the show.  Joining us are fellow CAUDog artists The Future Laureates, The Lauren Wolf Band, and our good friends in Common Shiner, who will sadly be on indefinite hiaitus after this show.  Tickets are on sale this Friday, March 6th at noon at this link, and are $12.  However, because we love you, if you use the promo code BROWN at checkout, your tickets are only $8.
